We managed to get our front bushes planted last night in and amidst a bit of rain but they're in. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the wheelbarrow we bought to move soil because the holes they drilled for the handles were about two inches away from where they needed to be for the bolts to fit. I'll probably go over to Crappy Tire tonight and squawk at them to give me an assembled one.

We were also surprised at the amount of building materials we found buried six inches below the surface. The crown jewel was a chunk of masonry about two feet across and six inches wide at the centre. I sent a snarky e-mail to Mattamy (the builder) asking when they will come pick it up because I'll be danged if I'm going to pay to have it taken away. If they blow me off I'm going to take it to one of their show homes nearby and leave it on the lawn.
